An art curator, when she was to sell her recently deceased parents’ house, developed an exhibition project; namely to distribute certain books of their library among several artists and ask them to intervene them for a show of artist's books.

The book allocated to Enrique Marty was part of a collection about medicine and health that had a picture of the Vitruvian Man on the cover.

Marty’s piece consisted in tearing off all the inside pages and shredding them into a pulp. This pulp was then used to mould a copy in reduced size of the Zeus/Poseidon of the Museum of Crete. A patina of bronze was applied and the figure was broken in several places. These cuts were painted with flesh-coloured paint. Later the artist cut one of his fingers to finish the painting of the statuette with his own blood.

This figure is shown on top of the book’s red cover.
